- Pre-school Children's Story Time: Wednesday 9:30-10:00 am
Children enjoy stories, music, special guests and crafts. - Legos at the Library meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month 3:00-5:00 pm.
- Stitches in the Stacks Crochet Club meets every Tuesday at 10:00 am.
- Third Tuesday for Teens program meets 3rd Tuesday of each month 4:00-5:00 pm.
- A-List Book Club meets 2nd Monday of each Month at 1:00 pm
- BYOB Book Club meets 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 pm.
Summer Reading Program
The library offers a professional quality summer reading program to all children from toddlers to teens. The program encourages children to read for pleasure and is designed to keep children reading year-round. The program also provides an opportunity for children to use computers, search the Internet and socialize with peers. Incentive prizes, entertaining programs and end of summer pool party are all part of the program.
Basic Computer Class
On Fridays in the months of January, April, July, and October from 10:00-11:00, we offer a series of computer classes. Registration Required. Call 256-586-3366.

Friends of Arab Public Library
The Arab Friends of the Library Bookstore is a charming and community-oriented space located adjacent to the Arab Public Library. Operated by the Friends of the Library, a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization, the bookstore provides an excellent resource for book enthusiasts and library supporters alike.
- Affordable Books: The bookstore offers gently used books, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, and more, at budget-friendly prices. It's a great place for avid readers to find hidden gems and support a good cause.
- Supporting the Library: Proceeds from the bookstore directly benefit the Arab Public Library, funding various programs, events, and new acquisitions that enhance the library's offerings.
- Volunteer-Operated: The store is staffed entirely by volunteers from the Friends of the Library, reflecting the community's dedication to supporting literacy and lifelong learning.

- Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Membership is open to anyone for $10 annually. Members actively support library initiatives and often assist in managing the bookstore and organizing events. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9 am in the Arab Public Library Meeting Room.
